Job Applicant’s Terms & Conditions (valid for 2008 & 2009)

In order to maintain a high standard of professionalism, all candidates are deemed to have accepted these terms when applying for a job through JBCL job advertisements, application forms, email, fax, by phone, friend’s recommendation, or online resume from our website.

1.  Candidates short listed by our agency

Candidates will be briefed by our Technical Recruitment Consultant. He/she will be requested to meet in our office (non-mandatory) to discuss their technical capabilities, career path, past job performance, strengths and qualities etc. Candidates that meet the requirements along with relevant experience and good past performance will be strongly recommended to employers. Agency phone interview: Candidates not able to meet in our office will be interviewed through phone. Candidates are to truthfully declare in detail, their last drawn salary, employment history, education, any physical disabilities, medical conditions and any prior convictions in the court of law, to JBCL.

All information will be voice recorded to maintain its accuracy for further reference

 

2.  Interview Arrangements (By employer)

Candidates must follow all instruction as indicated in our emails, office interview, confirmation notes, or phone calls & SMS about the interview arrangements. These will be regarded as formal commitments by the candidate and those who are late or fail to be present at the appointment will be penalized. Candidates are to inform our agency, by phone, at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled timing if he/she  wishes to change or cancel the appointment.

 

3.  Interview Preparation

4.  Interview Feedback

5.  Agency Fee/Start Work/Early Termination of New Employment

5a. There will be no agency fee for all short listed candidates. However, all successful candidates must start work as well as meet the three months commitment to our agency. The details are as follows:

5b. Recruitment fees will be charged if the candidate accepts the job offer (verbal or written) but fails to start work, shows no interest/commitment, displays misconduct and/or absenteeism, leaves the job/tenders their resignation during the first three months (exclude notice period) of new employment or breaches in any of the conditions. The fees will be 50% of one month of the candidate’s salary which is applicable to Singaporean citizens, permanent residents, employment pass and S Pass applicants.

5c. Upon acceptance of the signed employment letter or EP/S Pass approval by the MOM, candidates must sign and return to our agency, a copy of the Terms & Conditions within 3 days (7 days allowance by mail). Failure to do so will result in a total fee of 70% instead of the 50% stated above.

 

6.  Non-solicitation

      Candidates are to notify our agency of any subsequent interviews/discussions/direct job offers from the employer or any accepted job offer. Please note that candidates should not deal directly with the employer without first notifying our agency and must notify us in future if he/she was offered a position directly by the employer or its associated company and has begun work. Failure to do so will grant the agency the right to charge the fee of one month’s salary as a recruitment fee or legal proceeding to recover the fee.

 

7.  Confidentiality of Information

Candidates must keep confidential all our clients and interview information and must not divulge such information to any third party. Failure to do so will grant the agency the right to charge one month’s salary as a recruitment fee or legal proceeding.
